KBM Facility Solutions, San Diego, has received national awards for “Safety and Health Program of the Year” and “Training Program of the Year” at the 2009 Annual (OS1) User Symposium Awards in Savannah, Georgia, according to Maureen Gray, president of KBM Facility Solutions.
Gray said that KBM was nominated for a total of seven categories, including Safety and Health Program of the Year, Cleaning Program of the Year, Training Program of the Year, Communications, Environmental Program, Peer Influence, and Innovation, a joint nomination with The Boeing Company’s Electrical Relocations Project.
Operating System One (OS1) is the only organization to date that has obtained best practices benchmarks and scientifically verified statistics for a cleaning process. By focusing on these key factors KBM, which has employed the (OS1) methodology since 1998, is able to efficiently reduce many problems associated with traditional custodial operations.
